No Shame

SONA 2026

In the heart of the flood in a village swallowed by mud… there drifted the corpse of a promise washed free from the grave of betrayal. Billions upon billions vanished into the roads the led nowhere… bridges built for ghosts and dams that held back nothing so when the rivers rose in fury… it swallowed the poor. "You should be ashamed!" cried the king from the palace... his voice thundered against thieves while the keys to the treasury jingled in his pocket for the truth is… he is the king of those who butcher the nation and to the corrupt… he is the living idol they worship. The farmers have no seeds left to sow… their lands are seized yet there stands the king… bowing low before his foreign master turning the fields into runways and coastlines into barracks and the nation's soil into another battlefield of imperialist war. The fisherfolk return to their families with empty nets while gunboats patrol the sea.. The workers punch clocks that measure exhaustion not life. The youth inherit diplomas like unpaid bills… while in the palace drunk with power… the ruling clan and its circle in barong-clad thieves... raise their glasses in celebration. But listen… those in the humble huts are preparing… No longer does sorrow swell in the people's hearts but a storm. No longer tears but fire learning its own name. The thunder of thousands of marching fists is rising. No Shame! Liberation will not descend from the palace balconies. It will rise from the flooded fields… empty nets… factory gates and the fists that refuse to be drowned.
