Moonraker

D I why

As you stumble through your life, you pick up many skills, And as you achieve your goals, it gives you all the thrills. But DIY is a learning curve and as you find your way, You pack the info in your brain, to use another day. Such as, when you hold a nail, remove your thumb from off the top, As this will course discomfort and your hammer you will drop. Tap the nail until upright and when the nail is stood, Please make shore the pointy end, is nearest to the wood. Give it a clout and drive it in and it crumples, this happens quite a lot, Because as you drove the nail in, it went into a knot. Another tip I'll give you, is when digging in a fencing pole, Never pore the concrete in, when you’re standing in the hole. When you fit a letterbox, fix it the right way round, Or you will find the letter box has been fitted upside down. Never read instructions, this will make you stress, You'll be far better off to have a think and enable your best guess. Keep the tea bags handy, for there will be a need, To refresh and charge you up, and keep you up to speed. And if you cock it up, there’s no need to cry, After all, it's not your fault and it's only DIY.
