The Sock That Said No

The Sock That Said No

My sock said, “No, I won’t go on— I’m tired of feet today.” It flopped itself upon the floor And tried to crawl away. I told it, “We’re already late!” It said, “That’s not my fault.” I reached to grab it anyway— It scurried to the vault. So now I’m wearing just one sock, And one foot’s cold and blue… But honestly, I’m kinda proud— I never knew my sock could moo.
