WITHOUT YOU

Longing

Every dawn I wake to your ghost, Your name still lives inside my chest, I trace the shape I miss the most, And fail to put my heart to rest. You never left my wandering mind, You haunt each breath I try to take, I searched for you but never find, A peace my broken hands can make. I'm sorry that I hold you still, Inside this ruin called my soul, You climbed a far and distant hill, While I stay trapped inside this hole. I know you've walked into new light, And found a world without my pain, But I still love you every night, And drown in you again.
