Folk law Icelandic stile
Trolls will fear the light and would rather stay at home, As the sun will send its rays, to turn them all to stone. They dwell in houses by the way, In which they hide throughout the day. Behind painted doors, that are carefully tended, until the light of day has ended. They live in the folk law of the towns, In the story’s handed down. But do not dismiss the stories of old, Or mischief will come and vengeance cold. For they live in peace with all who will, Keep traditional ways until. A road to be built and the way is bard, By trolls who then will place a guard. a solution to solve this must be found, By talking with trolls within the ground. To ask permission to lay a road, They have an answer the way is bowed. Around the place where Trolls may dwell, Amongst the rocks as folks may tell. Respect for nature at its best, Reflection will put the debate to rest. Not to resist against a hidden force, Is not to upset the Trolls off course.
On a trip to Iceland, I was introduced to Icelandic Troll law. Published date:
